My instructional method is the 3-part lesson approach.
Every one of my lessons has three-part namely:
1. The starter: Here the lesson is introduced using varied approaches to prepare them for the lesson and give a roadmap to stimulate students' interest, build their curiosity and expectation of what is to follow.
2. The main task: Here I engage the students using a variety of methodologies that are both exciting and engaging. These may include discussion, demonstration, group work, hands-on activities, discovery etc.
The objective here is to make the student take ownership of their learning and acquire mastery of the topic.
3. Plenary: Here a conceptualization of what has been learnt is done using a short activity that may include an assessment to summarise their understanding and what they are taking away from the lesson.
